Empowering Innovation: C-DOT and Qualcomm Collaborate to Boost India’s Telecom Sector

C-DOT announced a partnership with Qualcomm Technologies Inc., a subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated, to enhance innovation in India and support local developers and startups. Under this collaboration, Qualcomm will provide its expertise, advanced technology, and IP training to C-DOT, benefiting Indian startups, academia, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). By leveraging Qualcomm’s wireless solutions and technologies, the aim is to develop and commercialize indigenous telecom products. This initiative aims to grant startups, OEMs, and academia access to foundational chip technologies and domain experts, thereby fostering innovation and facilitating the scaling up of their research and development efforts. Furthermore, it intends to accelerate the commercialization and business growth of Indian startups engaged in creating indigenous telecom products and solutions, aligning with the government’s initiatives to promote Design in India and Make in India.
