Government of India Inks Deals with Tech Titans Google, Meta, and IBM to Propel Innovation

Government entities have inked agreements with tech giants Google, Meta, and IBM to drive innovation and investment in India, according to a parliamentary update. Minister of State for Electronics and IT, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, highlighted the government’s focus on collaborating with the private sector to harness emerging technologies. Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed with IBM India to boost innovation in AI, semiconductors, and quantum technology. Google India and Digital India Bhashini Division established a strategic partnership for advancing AI and promoting language inclusivity. Additionally, India AI and Meta signed an MoU to develop a framework for AI and emerging technologies, while MeitY Startup Hub and Meta collaborated to accelerate XR technology startups. These collaborations aim to elevate India’s prowess in the dynamic field of emerging technologies.
