HP Launches ‘Innovation & Digital Education Academy’ in India

HP, a leader in PC and printer technology, has launched the ‘Innovation & Digital Education Academy’ (IDEA) in India to equip educators with advanced digital teaching skills and transform educational methods. This initiative aims to enhance student learning experiences in CBSE schools nationwide.

Developed in collaboration with Verdant & Co and the Centre for Teacher Accreditation (CENTA), the IDEA program is designed to address the growing needs of modern students and educators. It is set to begin in the last week of April and will span the entire 2024 academic year.

Ipsita Dasgupta, SVP and MD of HP India, stated, “Through this initiative, we aim to revolutionize teaching techniques and improve learning outcomes in CBSE schools.”

The program expects to impact 50 schools, benefiting approximately 5,000 teachers and 50,000 students across India. It focuses on equipping educators with the latest educational tools and practices.

Priyanka Arya, Director and COO of CENTA, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, saying, “CENTA is thrilled to collaborate with HP on this initiative that reaches teachers in over 20 cities, enhancing their professional growth.”

The IDEA program offers two tracks for schools:

  1. HP IDEA Fellow: This one-year development program is tailored for select educators and leaders, focusing on deep, transformative educational practices.
  2. HP IDEA Associate: This track offers targeted support for all school staff, enabling them to join as associates through training conducted by HP IDEA Fellows.

This strategic move by HP aims to foster a significant improvement in educational standards across Indian schools by integrating advanced digital resources.
