The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is inviting entries for its prestigious ‘Best Innovation Award 2024’. This opportunity is open exclusively to students currently enrolled at the university. The award, initiated in 2018 by the National Centre for Innovation in Distance Education (NCIDE), recognizes and honors the top three student innovators annually.

The winners of the award will receive trophies, certificates, and cash prizes of Rs 10,000, Rs 7,000, and Rs 5,000 for the first, second, and third places, respectively. Moreover, these top entrants will benefit from further support and mentorship. This includes training opportunities designed to enhance their innovations and advance them to the next stage.
Submission guidelines specify that entries should be sent via email to ncide@ignou.ac.in, with no hard copies or scanned documents accepted. Shortlisted students will present their innovations virtually. Following the competition, winners will be notified individually and announced on the IGNOU website.
The competition welcomes innovations across various themes such as healthcare, agriculture, food processing, smart transportation, and renewable energy, among others.
