A group of Indian professionals in Silicon Valley has unveiled a groundbreaking initiative aimed at harnessing engineering to tackle global challenges and enhance quality of life. Named Indian Professionals Without Borders, this nonprofit organization serves as a global network for Indian-origin professionals committed to fostering innovation, collaboration, and social impact. The launch event, graced by Dr. K Srikar Reddy, Consul General of India in San Francisco, and Shailendra Joshi, former chief secretary and advisor to the Telangana Government, underscored the organization’s dedication to leveraging engineering as a potent force for change. Co-founder Shachindra Nath emphasized the initiative’s mission to unite Indian engineers worldwide, with a focus on addressing global challenges and driving lasting innovation. With 1,100 members and eight chapters spanning four continents, the organization embarks on a transformative journey towards engineering excellence and global cooperation. As part of its inaugural activities, Indian Professionals Without Borders announced the “101 Days of AI Learning Festival,” designed to democratize AI education and empower individuals across various sectors. This initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to leverage AI for sectors like agriculture, healthcare, and education, highlighting India’s commitment to technological advancement and innovation.
