India’s Raksha Mantri Unveils ADITI Scheme for Defence Innovation at DefConnect 2024

Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh unveiled the Acing Development of Innovative Technologies with iDEX (ADITI) scheme during DefConnect 2024, aiming to boost innovation in critical defence technologies. Start-ups stand to receive grants of up to Rs 25 crore for research and development efforts. The scheme, under the iDEX framework, targets the development of 30 deep-tech technologies over the next few years, reinforcing India’s defence capabilities. Additionally, DefConnect 2024 featured the launch of DISC 11 and initiatives to foster investment in defence start-ups, signaling India’s commitment to innovation and self-reliance in defence production.
