Atal Innovation Mission, under the guidance of NITI Aayog, is orchestrating a workshop focused on nurturing state-level innovation ecosystems in India. The event, titled “Building State-level Innovation Ecosystems,” will transpire at the esteemed Indian Institute of Management Bangalore from November 6th to 8th. This three-day gathering aspires to bring together representatives from various Indian states and union territories to collaborate on strategies and knowledge sharing, aimed at promoting innovation and entrepreneurship within their respective regions.
Dr. Chintan Vaishnav, Mission Director of Atal Innovation Mission, emphasized the importance of resilient innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems tailored to local contexts. India’s remarkable ascent in the Global Innovation Index, now at 40th place, underscores the nation’s significant innovation potential. This workshop serves as a platform for states to harness mutual learning and shared commitment to bolstering their innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems, thus contributing to regional industries, economic growth, and employment opportunities.
The workshop facilitates peer learning among states and UTs, encouraging the exchange of ideas, strategies, and experiences, while creating a dynamic network of ecosystem builders who can collaborate and drive progress beyond the event. Participants will also have the opportunity to explore the innovation ecosystem in Karnataka during the workshop.
This initiative is poised to further advance India’s innovation landscape by uniting states in their pursuit of fostering innovative and entrepreneurial environments.
