Philips Unveils Cutting-Edge Innovation Hub in Bengaluru, Set to Accommodate 5,000 Professionals

Netherlands-based healthcare giant Philips has expanded its footprint in India with the inauguration of a state-of-the-art innovation campus in Bengaluru’s Embassy business hub. Boasting 650,000 square feet of space, the campus is designed to accommodate up to 5,000 professionals, making it one of Philips’ largest campuses in the country.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, speaking at the inauguration ceremony, praised Philips for its longstanding contributions to the state’s ecosystem. He emphasized the pivotal role the Bengaluru innovation campus would play in driving Philips’ global digital transformation in healthcare solutions.

The CM highlighted Karnataka’s emergence as a healthcare hub, showcasing a robust ecosystem of research institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and medical device manufacturers. He underscored the state’s commitment to fostering innovation, citing initiatives such as the Bengaluru Bio-innovation Centre and sector-specific policies in startup, IT, AVGC, biotechnology, and ESDM.

Roy Jakobs, CEO of Philips, emphasized the company’s dedication to innovative health technologies, aiming to enhance patient experiences, improve health outcomes, and reduce the cost of care. The new campus aligns with Philips’ strategy to leverage India’s talent pool and industry-friendly policies to drive its digital healthcare advancements globally.
