In a landmark achievement for Indian education, three schools from Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu clinched the World’s Best School Prizes for 2024 this Thursday. This year marked a significant triumph with a record number of Indian institutions being recognized, each earning a commendable prize of USD 10,000.
Delhi’s Ryan International School, located in Vasant Kunj; CM RISE School Vinoba in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh; and Kalvi International Public School in Madurai, Tamil Nadu were the celebrated winners. Ryan International School was honored with the World’s Best School Prize for Environmental Action, lauding its independent initiatives from kindergarten through secondary education. Conversely, the state-run CM RISE School Vinoba, serving kindergarten to secondary levels, received accolades in the Innovation category.
These awards were instituted by T4 Education, in collaboration with notable organizations such as Accenture, American Express, and the Lemann Foundation. Jill Huntley, Managing Director of Global Corporate Citizenship at Accenture, praised the schools, noting, “Your innovative solutions will inspire countless others across the world to take the action necessary to safeguard the future of our planet.”
Additionally, Kalvi International Public School won the Community Choice Award after receiving the highest number of public votes among 50 shortlisted schools in the five prize categories. The school has also been granted membership to the T4 Education’s Best School to Work programme, aimed at creating optimal work environments to attract and retain top teaching talent.
