Titan Company Limited and the esteemed Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) have established a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at fostering innovation and yielding substantial social benefits. This alliance seeks to harness the combined powers of technology, research, and education to further mutual interests and societal progress.
Under this agreement, Titan and IITM will undertake joint research and consultancy projects, managed through IITM’s Centre for Industrial Consultancy and Sponsored Research. Additionally, Titan will employ IITM graduates and interns, coordinated through IITM’s Placement Office. Collaboration extends to visits, sabbaticals, and advisory roles involving staff and faculty from both entities, organized by IITM’s Office of Global Engagement.
Titan staff also have the opportunity to enroll in IITM’s advanced degree programs, including M.Tech., M.S., and Ph.D., through the Office of Dean (Academic Research). Both institutions will offer short-term training courses for their respective staff and students, facilitated by IITM’s Center for Continuing Education. The partnership will extend to CSR initiatives, with Titan funding faculty research and student scholarships, managed by IITM’s Office of Alumni and Corporate Relations. Additionally, Titan plans to engage with the vibrant ecosystem of the IIT Madras Research Park and the IITM Incubation Cell.
Effective from 8th July 2024 for a period of five years, this MoU provides a strategic framework for collaborative projects, research, and educational efforts that aim to achieve significant advancements and social impact.
