BlackBerry Limited, the Canadian software giant, inaugurated its cutting-edge ‘BlackBerry IoT Center of Excellence, Engineering and Innovation’ in Hyderabad. This facility, unveiled at the opening ceremony, is dedicated to advancing mission-critical embedded software development for IoT industries.
The center is now operational, housing software engineers and serving as an Asia Pacific hub for the BlackBerry QNX global developer network. Following Canada, this center becomes the second-largest for BlackBerry’s IoT division worldwide. It boasts teams of embedded software engineers across various technology positions, including senior management, technical project management, product engineering, cloud software development, integration, and service delivery.
The establishment of the BlackBerry IoT CoE in Hyderabad aims to meet the escalating demand for its embedded software solutions and services. Additionally, it seeks to invest in India’s skilled IoT innovators. BlackBerry has locally recruited talent from Hyderabad and across India, offering new career opportunities in software-defined-vehicles (SDVs) and advancements in medical, industrial control systems, and robotics innovation.
