Dell Technologies recently inaugurated its flagship event, Dell Technologies Forum 2024: AI Edition, in Mumbai and Bangalore. Themed “Accelerate from Ideas to Innovation with AI,” the event attracted over a thousand attendees, including more than 230 CIOs and numerous partners. The forum focused on the transformative impact of AI across various industries.
Leaders from Dell Technologies, including Alok Ohrie, Peter Marrs, and Matt Dunfee, shared their insights on AI’s current and future applications, particularly emphasizing the NVIDIA AI Factory’s role in meeting today’s technological demands. The event, hosted by Mandira Bedi, also highlighted how Dell leverages cloud, edge, and data technologies to advance future work environments.
Alok Ohrie pointed out the forum’s significance in demonstrating AI’s potential to transform ideas into tangible innovations within the Indian context. Peter Marrs commented on AI’s broader implications beyond mere technology, noting its capacity to expedite innovation. Meanwhile, Matt Dunfee discussed the Dell AI Factory’s role in facilitating scalable AI deployments across business sectors.
The event also featured a panel discussion titled ‘The AI Transformation: Navigating Challenges, Embracing Opportunities,’ which included leaders from HDFC Bank, RBL Bank, Reliance Jio, and others, discussing AI’s revolutionary impact on their fields.
Educational initiatives were a highlight, with 100 schools participating and a certification program that equipped over 250 attendees with essential AI skills through the Dell GenAI Foundation.
Special sessions like the Beyond the Billion Brunch focused on supporting female-led innovation, with notable figures such as Mithali Raj discussing challenges women face in predominantly male sectors.
Other key aspects included insights into AI’s role in cybersecurity, the Dell Data Lakehouse, and the Partner Summit, which explored the balance between technology and humanity in transformation projects.
Sustainability was a core theme, with Dell committing to significant environmental goals, including the creation of a Dell Micro Forest using the Miyawaki Method to enhance urban biodiversity and resilience. The forum not only showcased technological innovations but also emphasized Dell’s commitment to environmental sustainability and corporate responsibility.
