The Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC) at IIT Kanpur, in partnership with the Department of Science & Technology (DST) and the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), will host the ASEAN-India Start-up Festival 2024.
Scheduled from November 28 to 30, 2024, at Vivanta Taj, New Delhi, this landmark event will bring together innovators and entrepreneurs from India and 10 ASEAN nations to foster cross-border collaboration and advance innovation.
Over three days, the festival will offer an engaging lineup of seminars, startup exhibitions, pitch competitions, and networking sessions. These activities are designed to stimulate B2B and G2G partnerships, strengthening innovation-driven economic relationships.
The event will culminate with industry visits to prominent organisations in the Delhi-NCR region, offering attendees a firsthand experience of India’s thriving innovation ecosystem.
A spotlight on deep-tech and sustainable innovations will showcase solutions from 60 Indian startups and 40 ASEAN startups, addressing regional challenges while promoting socio-economic development through cutting-edge technologies and sustainability.
Notable dignitaries, including Jitendra Singh, Minister of Science and Technology; Professor Abhay Karandikar, Secretary of DST; Professor Manindra Agrawal, Director of IIT Kanpur; and Srikant Sastri, Chairman of the Geospatial Data Promotion & Development Committee, along with ambassadors from ASEAN countries, will attend.
Their presence highlights the festival’s significance in fostering international partnerships and driving economic growth through innovation and collaboration.
