Esri India, a leader in Geographic Information System (GIS) software, is joining forces with IIT Tirupati’s Navavishkar I-Hub Foundation to establish a center dedicated to geospatial innovation and education. This “Center of Competence” will act as a hub for students, startups, and professionals in the geospatial field.
The center will provide cutting-edge software, resources, and expert-led training programs. These programs will cover GIS, artificial intelligence, data science, and more. Participants will learn to solve real-world problems using these technologies, preparing them for successful careers in geospatial fields. This, in turn, will contribute to India’s social and economic development.
Esri India will also offer technical guidance and support curriculum development for IIT Tirupati’s geospatial programs. This collaboration aims to nurture a new generation of geospatial professionals equipped to drive innovation and economic growth.
“This partnership signifies our commitment to cultivating a highly skilled geospatial workforce poised to shape the future,” said Esri India’s Managing Director.
The initiative highlights the growing importance of geospatial technologies, driven by factors like advancements in satellite and drone data, location-based analytics, and artificial intelligence integration with GIS. Expertise gained at the Center will open doors to various career opportunities for participants.
