The Indian School of Business (ISB) revealed on Thursday its new partnership with Asian Institute of Gastroenterology (AIG) Hospitals to launch the ‘Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare Programme’. This initiative aims to enhance healthcare delivery and improve patient experiences through innovative applications of AI.
The collaboration will involve the Max Institute of Healthcare Management (MIHM) at ISB and medical experts from AIG Hospitals. Together, they will focus on developing sophisticated AI capabilities and exploring its application in clinical settings to improve diagnostic and therapeutic outcomes for patients, according to a press release.
Dr. D. Nageshwar Reddy, Chairman of AIG Hospitals, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, noting that it marks a significant step toward integrating AI in healthcare. He highlighted the potential for this initiative to transform patient care throughout India and serve as a model for international healthcare practices.
Sarang Deo, Professor of Operations Management and Deputy Dean – Faculty and Research at ISB, also commented on the project. He emphasized the generation of new insights into the key factors driving the success of AI in healthcare, particularly in relation to human behavior and systemic processes.
