The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), in collaboration with IIIT Hyderabad’s National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), has launched the ISRO Immersion Startup Challenge. This initiative is designed as a dynamic platform for startups, researchers, students, and industry leaders to drive innovation in space and geospatial technologies using artificial intelligence.
Dr. Srinivas K., Director of NRSC, emphasized that the challenge aims to foster collaboration, not competition, by leveraging AI to address complex challenges in the space sector. This event will help cultivate the next generation of space-tech innovators through ideation sessions, pitching rounds, industry talks, panel discussions, and mentorship opportunities.
The challenge offers two tracks:
- Startup Challenge: For early-stage startups and established companies developing AI-driven solutions for space.
- Student/Research Challenge: For researchers and students in advanced engineering and science disciplines, focusing on AI applications in space.
