Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Teams Up with NSRCEL to Propel Startup Ecosystem

The Jubilant Bhartia Foundation (JBF) has partnered with NSRCEL, the incubation arm of the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), to propel startups positioned to revolutionize sectors crucial to India’s progress.

JBF, a charitable entity of the Jubilant Bhartia Group, and NSRCEL share a common vision of fostering entrepreneurial spirit and innovation. NSRCEL’s CEO, Anand Sri Ganesh, highlighted the excitement surrounding the partnership, emphasizing its commitment to advancing startups with the potential for societal impact in fields like biotechnology and agritech, supported by JBF’s funding.

This collaboration aims to bolster 4-6 revenue-generating startups, providing them with the necessary support to flourish. Vivek Prakash, VP & Head of JBF, underscored the foundation’s dedication to innovation as a catalyst for social progress, celebrating social entrepreneurs who offer sustainable solutions to societal challenges.

The partnership focuses on startups in pivotal areas such as Biotechnology, Lifescience, Agritech, and solutions related to Electric Vehicles and lithium-ion batteries, recognizing the importance of innovation in these fields. Selected startups, benefiting from a baseline grant of 10 lakhs, could receive more based on achieved milestones, ensuring the effective use of funds to foster innovation.

As this collaboration unfolds, it heralds a new era of impactful innovation within India’s startup scene, setting a course for positive societal and sustainable development contributions. Initiatives like Gokrit, Reviva, and Unino Healthcare, among others, have already benefited from this partnership, covering sectors from health tech to agritech.

With a reach extending to over 1 million beneficiaries, JBF’s efforts span across community development, healthcare, education, and more, all while promoting social entrepreneurship. Together, JBF and NSRCEL are creating a nurturing environment for startups, blending academic insight with practical application to enrich India’s entrepreneurial landscape.
