Philips India Unveils New Azurion Interventional Imaging System

Philips India, a frontrunner in health technology, has launched the Azurion, a state-of-the-art interventional imaging system, targeting specialists in cardiology, neurology, vascular health, and surgery throughout India.

The Azurion system is engineered to optimize neurovascular procedures, enabling care teams to make quicker, more informed decisions, handle a higher volume of patients, and improve treatment outcomes. It boasts an advanced C-arm with increased rotation and angulation capabilities, facilitating seamless transitions between 2D and 3D imaging. Key features include extensive table-side controls, allowing operators to maintain sterility without stepping away from their work area, automatic beam adjustments to ensure images are always correctly oriented, and a novel head immobilizer that enhances stroke care.

Further enhancing its utility, Philips has integrated AI and machine learning within its angio suites to monitor and maintain system efficiency through its new Philips Service Hub. This innovative service platform offers remote connectivity, enabling proactive monitoring and rapid response to service needs, ensuring high system availability and preemptive maintenance.

Recently showcased at the Philips Innovation Campus in Bengaluru—Philips’ largest global innovation hub—the Azurion was demonstrated to over 80 interventionalists from across India.

This latest innovation in the Azurion series enhances clinical workflows and precision in patient care, showcasing Philips’ dedication to advancing medical outcomes in India. By improving the efficiency of interventional procedures, the Azurion system not only boosts the experiences of medical staff but also supports better patient outcomes and contributes to reducing healthcare costs.
