Thales Partners with Garuda Aerospace to Enhance Secure Drone Operations in India

Thales has teamed up with Garuda Aerospace to propel the growth and technological advancement of drone applications across India, ensuring safety and security in drone operations. This partnership leverages Thales’s extensive knowledge in Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) solutions, which facilitate seamless UAV flight authorizations. Additionally, Thales brings to the table advanced radar and sensor technologies for detecting UAVs and extensive experience in system integration.

Garuda Aerospace, a leading UAV manufacturer in India, brings its expertise in producing high-tech UAVs and delivering service applications to the partnership. The collaboration is set to officially commence in August 2024.

Ashish Saraf, VP and Country Director for Thales in India, commented on the partnership: “The government is laying a strong foundation for the drone ecosystem, which opens up several opportunities for innovation and growth. We are excited to collaborate with Garuda Aerospace to advance the development of sophisticated UTM systems in India.
