Titled the ‘IBM Global AI Adoption Index 2023,’ the research indicates that early adopters are at the forefront, with 74 percent of these enterprises already leveraging AI, particularly in areas like R&D and workforce reskilling. Looking ahead to 2024, the report suggests that overcoming these obstacles will be a priority, emphasizing the need for upskilling and robust AI governance frameworks. According to Sandip Patel, Managing Director of IBM India and South Asia, while Indian enterprises are experiencing the benefits of AI, there remains untapped potential for scaling AI deployment. To address this, he underscores the importance of implementing data and AI governance tools to ensure responsible AI development and adoption. The survey, conducted globally among 8,584 IT professionals across various countries, highlights India’s leading role in AI adoption among the surveyed nations.
