The Indian Air Force (IAF) is set to host the Industry Outreach Event 2025 (IOE25), focusing on advancing indigenous defence innovation and bolstering India’s self-reliance in defence capabilities. The event aligns with the government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative and will take place in two phases on January 13 and 15.
The first phase, scheduled for January 13, will center on the IAF’s self-reliance initiatives, Innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX) schemes, and aviation system certification and quality assurance processes. Experts from key organisations such as the Directorate of Aerospace Design, Defence Innovation Organisation (DIO), and Directorate General of Aeronautical Quality Assurance (DGAQA) will share insights into testing and certification crucial for aviation and airborne systems.
The second phase, on January 15 at Air Force Station Guwahati, will feature on-site interactions between industry representatives and defence operators. This session provides a unique opportunity for participants to understand the IAF’s operational needs and explore avenues to offer innovative solutions.
By facilitating direct engagement between the defence sector and industry stakeholders, IOE25 aims to bridge gaps and harness advanced technology to support India’s defence manufacturing goals. An IAF official highlighted the event’s importance, noting its role in aligning industry innovations with the operational demands of the IAF.
