Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), a leading name in aerospace and defense, has launched an innovation acceleration programme for Indian startups. The initiative, called IAI Neusphere, targets ten cutting-edge technological areas, including big data, quantum computing, AI, advanced navigation, and green energy.
Israel’s Ambassador to India, Reuven Azar, hailed this launch as a milestone in Indo-Israeli relations and a vital step towards fostering innovation. Avital Schrift, IAI’s Vice President of Core Technologies, emphasized India’s technological prowess, expressing enthusiasm about collaborating with its tech community.
The first cohort will feature three startups, with plans to expand to five per cohort every eight months. Over two years, the programme aims to support approximately 20 startups. Applications are open from November 26, 2024, to February 6, 2025, with the programme kicking off on April 2, 2025. A demo day showcasing the developed solutions is scheduled for August 20, 2025.
Selected startups will receive a cash prize of $15,000 and funding up to $300,000 for their Proof of Concept (PoC). Beyond India, IAI is also focusing its innovation efforts in the US.
This initiative complements IAI’s ongoing projects in India, which include radars, airborne systems, and coastal defense solutions. Earlier this year, IAI signed a CSR agreement with IIT Delhi to collaborate on applied research.
