8X Ventures, in collaboration with Arctic Invent and SanchiConnect, has established India’s inaugural private DeepTech Innovation Hub. This groundbreaking initiative aims to mobilize $100 million to support startups emerging from incubation phases and in need of continued ecosystem support to realize their innovative visions.
Located in a sprawling 7,000+ sq ft facility in Noida, the hub provides state-of-the-art laboratories, collaborative workspaces, and essential resources aimed at scaling DeepTech startups. It also offers exclusive access to top industry mentors and experts, enhancing the developmental prospects of these ventures.
DeepTech startups are characterized by their reliance on substantial technological advancements and scientific discoveries. Chirag Gupta, Managing Partner at 8X Ventures, expressed his belief in the potential of Indian innovators to become globally transformative enterprises with the right support, emphasizing the strategic importance of the hub in the National Capital Region’s expanding startup ecosystem.
Sunil Shekhawat, CEO of SanchiConnect, and Govind Kedia, Managing Director of Arctic Invent, highlighted their organizations’ commitment to enhancing the growth trajectories of these startups by providing tailored intellectual property guidance and specialized resources.
The hub’s launch coincides with the recent announcement of 8X Ventures’ second INR 200 crore DeepTech Fund, signaling robust investment in the sector. Despite a global downturn in startup funding affecting Indian DeepTech investments, the initiative is poised to foster significant advancements in AI and other high-tech areas, continuing to drive the nation’s substantial growth in this innovative field.
