Quantum Computing in India: IBM’s Strategic Collaboration

IBM has partnered with IndiaAI-Digital India Corporation and other entities to drive innovation in AI, semiconductors, and quantum technology in India. This collaboration involves establishing a national AI Innovation Platform (AIIP) aimed at fostering AI skills, ecosystem development, and integrating advanced foundation models and generative AI capabilities. The AIIP will support incubation and competency development in AI technologies for use cases of national importance. Additionally, IBM will share its expertise with the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) for a semiconductor research center, focusing on logic, advanced packaging, and chip design technologies. Furthermore, IBM will collaborate with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) to advance India’s National Quantum Mission. These partnerships align with India’s digital transformation and economic growth goals.
