Samsung, the South Korean electronics giant, is set to commence laptop manufacturing at its Noida factory in India this year. TM Roh, Samsung Electronics President and Head of Mobile eXperience (MX) Business, emphasized the significance of India as a manufacturing hub and revealed that preparations for laptop production are already underway in the country. Samsung views India as a pivotal manufacturing location and has received support from both state and central governments. The company aims to collaborate further with the government to strengthen its manufacturing presence in India. The Noida plant, which is the second-largest for Samsung, has diversified its production to include feature phones, smartphones, wearables, tablets, and will soon add laptops to its portfolio.
