India Showcases Advanced Stealth Fighter at Aero India 2025 in Bengaluru

India has showcased its aerospace prowess by unveiling a full-scale model of the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) at Aero India 2025 in Bengaluru. This event marked the first public appearance of India’s indigenous fifth-generation stealth fighter jet, highlighting a significant leap towards self-sufficiency in defense technologies.

Developed by the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), the AMCA features dual engines and is designed to fulfill the multifaceted requirements of the Indian Air Force (IAF). This 25-ton aircraft integrates state-of-the-art technologies, including an AI-enhanced Electronic Pilot, Netcentric Warfare Systems for real-time combat linkage, an Internal Weapon Bay to boost stealth, and an Integrated Vehicle Health Management system for proactive maintenance.

The AMCA’s integration of artificial intelligence is pivotal, enhancing pilot situational awareness, threat detection, and interaction with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), setting it apart from other fifth-generation fighters.

The event also underscored robust international engagement, particularly with the United States, which displayed various advanced defense technologies and aircraft. Over two dozen American firms participated, exploring new avenues for collaboration in aviation and defense sectors.

High-level US delegates, including US Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Jorgan Andrews and General Kevin Schneider from the US Pacific Air Forces, emphasized the deepening defense relationship between the two nations, marked by increasing cooperation in cybersecurity, logistics, and maritime security.

Aero India 2025 not only serves as a platform for military display but also for cultural exchanges, highlighted by performances from the US Air Force Band of the Pacific, enhancing the event’s appeal to a broader audience.
