IG Drones, a leader in drone technology and analytics in India, has joined forces with Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sambalpur, Delhi Campus, inaugurating the first-ever drone center of excellence. This collaboration, cemented through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to spearhead advancements in drone technology applications across Business Analytics, Management Strategies, and Public Policy.
This initiative was unveiled at the 100-Cube Start-up Conclave, backed by the Ministry of Education, and witnessed by Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan. This marks a pioneering moment for IG Drones, establishing the first partnership of its kind with an IIM institution.
Located in Odisha but recognized both nationally and internationally, IG Drones is set to enhance its contributions to the drone technology sector through this alliance with IIM Sambalpur, promoting innovation and expertise among India’s youth.
Dr Mahadeo Jaiswal, Director of IIM Sambalpur, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership with IG Drones, highlighting its significance in advancing drone technology in various fields. Bodhisattwa Sanghapriya, Founder and CEO of IG Drones, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the collaboration’s role in driving innovation and supporting the development of India’s drone ecosystem.
This partnership not only aims to propel drone technology and entrepreneurship but also intends to create impactful opportunities contributing to India’s economic prosperity. Furthermore, IG Drones plans to establish 1,000 centers of excellence across India, empowering young minds with cutting-edge drone technology, in collaboration with state governments, over 100 PSUs, and leading MNCs. The 100-Cube Start-up Conclave, facilitated by the Ministry of Education and IIM Sambalpur, aims to launch 100 startups by 2036, each targeting a valuation of Rs 100 crore, commemorating Odisha’s centennial.
