The company is actively working towards making its diverse product range—including motorcycles—carbon neutral concerning their power sources. Specifically, Honda targets carbon neutrality for its entire motorcycle lineup by the 2040s, according to a recent statement from Honda R&D (India).
The new Solution R&D Centre aims to swiftly integrate advanced mobility technologies into the development of electrified vehicles. It will also focus on enhancing software and connected services by embracing open innovation, which includes collaborating with other research entities and incorporating their technologies and ideas.
Furthermore, the R&D facility will explore partnerships with innovative companies to create new services and business models that extend beyond Honda’s traditional product lines and market scopes, addressing long-term strategic goals.
