Eaton Technologies has formalized its commitment to expand in India by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tamil Nadu government. This initiative will enhance Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds and B-Line operations, signifying a major step in its strategy to foster innovation and sustainable growth within the region.
The MoU was inked in the presence of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and other notable officials including Matt Hockman, Global President of Eaton, along with Simon Mathieson, VP/GM, Philipose Jacob, Country Director, and Herman Bennis, HR Director.
“Eaton is deeply invested in harnessing India’s rich talent and advanced technological infrastructure to bolster our global engineering and innovation capabilities,” stated Philipose Jacob. He emphasized that Eaton’s office in India is pivotal in developing cutting-edge power management solutions for challenging environments.
The new center, to be located in Sholinganallur, Chennai, will span 100,000 sq. ft. and is slated for completion by the end of 2026. It will feature advanced manufacturing areas, R&D facilities, an experience center, and modern headquarters, significantly enhancing Eaton’s operational capabilities across its various sectors.
Minister for Industries, Dr. T R B Rajaa, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, noting, “This collaboration with Eaton not only fulfills our aim to make Tamil Nadu a nexus of innovation and industrial growth but also reinforces our commitment to supporting the endeavors of global industry leaders in our state.”
The expansion aims to propel Eaton’s initiatives in digitalization, electrification, and energy transition, aligning with its global objectives of promoting sustainable and innovative practices.
