Students’ Green Triumph: MyGov. Ladakh’s 2023 Sustainability Campus Challenge

MyGov. Ladakh recently hosted the “Sustainable Campus Challenge, 2023”, a contest aimed at promoting campus sustainability. The contest, targeting students across various educational institutions in the region, received 42 innovative project entries focusing on diverse areas such as energy conservation, waste reduction, and water conservation.

The winning proposal, a project focused on stationery waste management, was presented by a team from Government Degree College, Kargil. The runners-up proposed projects dealing with waste-to-value solutions and waste reduction, while other noteworthy entries tackled topics like vermicomposting, heating solutions, and waste water management.

The winners were honored at the Y20 Pre-Summit held in Leh, and the accolades included a trophy made from recycled metals, symbolizing the contest’s sustainability focus.
